This year, Honda released a 5-door, or hatchback, model of their popular Honda Civic. Though it will only be available in Europe, it offers many of the same features as the 2 and 4-door Honda Civics available now at Honda Cars of Aiken.  

Honda designed the 2012 Civic to be more aerodynamic, thereby enabling optimal fuel-economy. Inside, "the cabin is outfitted with 'soft touch' plastics, a redesigned steering wheel and a touchscreen infotainment system."¹ The all-new Civic is 10mm wider, 20mm lower and is available with 16 or 17-inch alloy wheels. 

But how about under the hood? Drivers get to choose between three different engines. First is the 1.4-liter i-VTEC, putting out 98 hp and 94 lb.-ft. of torque. Next, the 1.8-liter i-VTEC pumps out 139 hp and 128 lb.-ft. of torque. Lastly, the 2.2-liter i-DTEC diesel engine is the most powerful at 148 hp and 258 lb.-ft. of torque.

With all that power under the hood, drivers should be able to accelerate up to 62 mph in just under 14 seconds for the 1.4, 9.1 seconds for the 1.8, and 8.5 seconds for the diesel. Top speeds for each engine are 116 mph, 134 mph and 135 mph, respectively.
