Honda Brings a Dash of Humor to Debunking Car Myths

Does the name Joe Swanson ring any bells? How about David Putty or Jeff Bingham? See who we're hinting at? We here at Honda Cars of Aiken know that funny-man Patrick Warburton has had a pretty diverse career, ranging from Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated to Scream 3. Known for his distinctly deep voice and over-the-top, dry sense of humor, Warburton has managed to build quite a fan base over the years.
Why is a Honda dealership bringing Patrick Warburton up? Aside from being fans of almost all of his work, the Big H recently signed Warburton to what could wind up being one of the most interesting roles of his career. Specifically, Warburton will be starring in a series of Honda commercials.
In the new series of advertisements, Warburton plays a self-assured man who is convinced that it is his role to expose the dirty underbelly of "easy car-buying." In one video featured in the clever "Good Reasons" series, Warburton pokes fun at the ridiculous claims that some auto brands make (sometimes under false pretenses)..."billion-mile, swearing-on-their-mother's grave, this isn't-a-piece of junk worry-free agreement: a thick stack of paper filled with tiny little elf-lawyer writing that you probably wouldn't read. Even if you could."1
Of course, leave it to Honda to be able to mock their own industry. The truth remains though that much of the time, the automotive world does pull these kinds of stunts to try and entice car-buyers into purchasing inferior products. The fact of the matter is, however, that Honda is quite different. They know it is simply easier to sell a product that works right the first time and all the way from the time when it is sold as new until when it is purchased as a used car.
